Consumer health data privacy policy
Who this is for
This is the consumer health data privacy policy of Right Stack Ltd, 86–90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom, for Proactive Parent. It applies to consumer health data as Washington’s My Health My Data Act defines it, and to anyone that law protects, wherever else they live. It sits beside our full privacy policy, which says the same things in more detail.
The consumer health data we collect
- Pregnancy: the due date and how it was worked out, how many babies, where you are cared for, and how the pregnancy ended, including a loss, if you record it; baby’s movements, contractions, and your own weight and blood pressure, if you log them.
- Your child: date of birth, how many weeks pregnant their mother was at birth, and what you log — feeds, sleep, nappies, pumping, growth (weight, length, head circumference), routines, firsts, symptoms, temperatures, medicines, vaccinations and appointments, with any notes you write.
- What you say or type to Daphne, the app’s assistant, which can include any of the above. It is sent to OpenAI to be understood and is not kept by us, as a recording or as a transcript.
- Inferences: the stage your pregnancy or child is at, and the timeline and reminders worked out from it. We draw no other inference about your health.
We do not collect precise location. The app never asks for your phone’s location; the country you choose is used only to pick which guidance you see.
Where it comes from
Only you, and the members of your family you invite, who add records about the children they are given. Nothing comes from anyone else.
Why we collect and use it
To provide the service you asked for: to keep your records on your phones and in your account, to show your timeline and send its reminders, to share records with the family members you choose, and to let Daphne log and look things up for you. We never use it for advertising, profiling or anything else. We collect it only with your consent, which the app asks for before it stores any of it, and which you can withdraw at any time in Family → Your account and data → Your consents.
Who we share it with
- The family members you invite, who see only the children you give them; pregnancy records reach only the person carrying the pregnancy and whoever they share them with. This sharing happens only because you choose it, one invitation at a time.
- Our processors, each only to provide their part of the service: Amazon Web Services (our servers and database, in Ireland) and OpenAI (Daphne, when you use her). Apple and Google deliver push notifications, which carry only a general message, never your records.
We have no affiliates that receive it.
We do not sell it
We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it for anyone’s advertising.
Your rights, and how to use them
You have the right to:
- confirm whether we collect or share your consumer health data, andaccess it, with the list of everyone we have shared it with and how to contact them — in the app, Family → Your account and data → Download your data gives you a copy, and this page lists who receives it;
- withdraw your consent — in the app, in Your consents, as easily as you gave it;
- have it deleted — in the app, Family → Your account and data → Delete everything. If you are the only member of your family, every record goes with your account. If you share the family, the children’s records stay with the other parents, no longer linked to you (our privacy policy says exactly what stays). Automated backups keep deleted data for up to seven days before they expire.
For anything the app does not do for you, write to support@proactiveparent.app. We will reply within 45 days, and if we need longer — up to 45 more days — we will tell you why within the first 45. We may need to confirm that the account is yours, and we will not charge you.
Appealing our decision
If we refuse a request, you can appeal: write to support@proactiveparent.app with “Appeal” in the subject. We will answer within 45 days and explain our decision. If the appeal is refused, you can complain to the Washington State Attorney General atatg.wa.gov/file-complaint.
